Ooh, lasagna, you make my heart sing, so yummy. For a very long time, Lasagna has been my absolute favorite food, though I had never learned to make it myself. Then I decided to venture out and teach myself...I added all of my favorite goodies. This is what I came up with.
.
Season the ground beef/turkey with the seasonings listed above and refrigerate for at least 1Hr.
To a pot of boiling water, add 1 teaspoon of Olive Oil, and 1 Teaspoon of Salt. Add lasagna noodles and boil on medium for 10-12 minutes (stir occasionally). Then strain the hot water off, and add cold tap water and strain. Repeat the process until the noodles are no longer hot. Keep the noodles moist.
Dice the pepperoni and salami, slice the sausage into small chunks, and cook all three together with the ground beef/turkey. Once the meat is fully cooked add the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and additional seasoning if necessary to create your meat sauce. Stir at low temperature. Sauté the Red Onion and Bell Peppers in a separate pan, and then add them to the meat sauce and stir at low temperature.
Preheat the oven to 350 Degrees F.
In a greased baking pan, add 1 layer noodles, then sauce, then cheese (if cheese is not shredded, you can use a grater to shred it). Repeat the layering and then bake for 30-45 minutes at 350 Degrees F.
